The man who has won the hearts of countless Hindi daily-soap watchers, through his confident, composed, and at the same time, the humorous role of Inspector Abhijeet–yes, we are talking about none other than Aditya Srivastava, an integral part of CID.

1.  Starting with the fact, you might have never really noticed: Aditya has appeared in many Bollywood movies like Gulaal, Lakshya, Paanch, Satya, Dil Se Pooch Kidhar Jana Hai, Black Friday, Kaalo, and even a recent hit, Super 30.

2.  When Srivastav was completing his studies from the Allahabad University, he was simultaneously also doing theatre at Sangeet Samiti.

3.  He shifted to Delhi in 1989 and was associated with regular theatre work at Sri Ram Center Of Performing Arts.

4. He got his first movie, Bandit Queen, after which he went to Mumbai, where he used to do voice-overs and advertisements.

5. He also acted as a Lead in Byomkesh Bakshi, Rishtey, Aahat, Naya Daur, 9 Malabar Hill and Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti.

6. Later, in 1999, he was offered CID. Initially, he signed for just 26 episodes, but, as we all know, later on, he became the significant pillar of the show!

7. Meanwhile, he also completed his role in Paanch, which was never released but was presented as the closing film in Osian’s Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema.

8. In another movie, Kaalo, he suffered a shoulder injury.

9. Movies like Dil Se, Black Friday, and Gulaal, all of which went on to gain success across the International Film Festivals, were also some of the most memorable movies of Aditya Srivastav.

10. This actor has also been a part of Southern Cinema, with the movies like, Aalwar and Naalai.
