Ali Fazal is one of those exceptional talents of Cinema who first made us cry with his cameo in 3 idiots and then made us laugh with his cameo in Furious 7. He also started his career with a cameo.

1. Born on October 15, in Lucknow, Ali Fazal did his schooling from Dehradun. He went on to pursue graduation from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

2. Ali’s parents got divorced when he was 18. He grew up with his mother and grandparents.

3. Ali Fazal, in his college time, was very fond of Dramatics and Sports. He was a Football and Basketball player. Apart from sports, Ali also became a trained guitarist.

4. Ali started working for Cinema in Prithvi Theatre togetherly studying in Mumbai.

5. Ali also starred in several TV Commercials like Pizza Hut and Micromax Mobile before getting on the train to Bollywood.

6. Ali Fazal got his initial recognition from the film, 3 Idiots. In it, Ali made us all emotional by his Saari Umar Hum Song.

7. Ali started his career as a model and used to do several Stage shows. It was during one such stage show that Raju Hirani spotted Ali. He approached him for 3 idiots.

But, that was not the first time Ali made his On-Screen presence.

8. Ali made his acting debut in The Other End of the Line, but with a small role. He went on to appear in American Miniseries, Bollywood Hero.

9. After 3 Idiots, Ali Fazal went on to star as leads in Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011) and Fukrey (2013).

Ali regrets the decision of working in Always Kabhi Kabhi.

10. Ali was shot to fame from playing Guddu Pandit in the 2019 series, Mirzapur. But, very few people are aware that Ali was first offered the role of Munna.

Keeping his Bollywood Fame aside, Ali Fazal is also known for raising money for charity.

11. Ali participated in Cancerthon. He also organized an event to speak about the dangers of smoking. He also participated in a concert in aid of the victims of the Nepal earthquake.

12. Ali then starred in several Bollywood Flicks such as Bobby Jasoos, Khamoshiyan, Happy Bhag Jayegi. Ali also appeared in Hollywood major, Furious 7, as a cameo.

Fascinating it was that Ali was in a remote place when he was said to send his audition clip for Furious 7. He was obviously out of network. He literally climbed on the top of a Mountain, shot the video and sent it for the audition. Guess, it was worth the effort.

13. In 2017, Ali starred as a lead in Victoria & Abdul, alongside Judi Dench.
