Howdy, film aholics! Today, we are gonna talk about Amrita Puri, an actress, who is best known for making her character memorable even as a supporting cast.
1. Amrita Puri is the daughter of the Managing Director of HDFC Bank, Aditya Puri. She was born on 20 August 1983, in Mumbai.

2. Amrita has been passionate about acting since her childhood. Whenever she was home alone, she would wrap her mother’s saree and do a show in front of the mirror.
Despite having a powerful father, Amrita did everything in her career on her own.

3. After finishing her post-graduation in Mass-Communication, Amrita Puri began her career as writer and theatre artist. From it, she got her first paycheck of Rs 2500.

4. Later on, she took a job as a copywriter under a New York-based Marketing agency, Ogilvy & Mather. She left after a year and started auditioning for movies.
5. Amrita got to know about Aisha by a Facebook post shared by one of her friends and mailed the pictures to the casting director, Amita Sehgal.
Amrita first said no to the role, but changed her mind after getting a lecture from Amita Sehgal and finally, she got her break.

10. Amrita also owned a clothing label named Akuri by Puri, along with her mother since 2014 and produces dresses, kurtas, dhoti pants and embroidered and brocade jackets.
