Angels And Demons: Book-1 In Robert Langdon Series
I'm a pre-final year engineering student at MAIT Delhi. Apart…
The first novel in the Robert Langdon series is Angels and Demons, a bestseller. If you are new to conspiracy fiction novels, here is a precise summary of Angels & Demons, an intriguing conspiracy theory book by Dan Brown.
 1. Physicist Leonardo Vetra is found assassinated. Maximilian Kohler, the director of CERN (European Council for Nuclear Research), contacted Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon for assistance to identify the mysterious symbol seared into the dead chest of the man.

2. Robert Langdon said that it was the work of the Illuminati, a secret brotherhood. It was presumed extinct for nearly four hundred years, now reborn to continue their fight against their sworn enemy–the catholic church.

 3. Far away in the Vatican city, a new pope was to be elected. However, Langdon’s worst concerns were confirmed on the eve of the Vatican’s holy conclave. There, a messenger of the Illuminati proclaimed that he had buried an unstoppable time bomb at the very heart of Vatican City.

 4. As the minutes passed by, Langdon travelled to Rome to join Vittoria Vetra, an Italian scientist, to search and destroy the antimatter to help the Vatican in a desperate bid for survival.

 5. The Hassassin told them that not only was the antimatter hidden in the Vatican City but also the Illuminati had kidnapped the four cardinals (dignitaries elected by the Pope). They would kill them, one per hour, at 8PM, 9PM, 10PM and 11PM, at churches around Rome.

 6. Robert stole the Diagramma Folio by Galileo Galilei to guide his mystical journey to the Illuminati church.

 7. In Rome, he discovered that all four cardinals were murdered in a pattern. Each murder echoed the elements earth, wind, water and fire, each branded with an ambigram (corresponding to their element).

 8. Langdon misunderstood that Kohler was behind the plot. Kohler was killed in the office of Camerlengo, but he gave Langdon a tape before dying. Camerlengo said that he had a vision from God and rushed from St. Peter’s Square into the Basilica, returning with the canister of antimatter.

 9. The time bomb (antimatter) was taken into the sky by Camerlengo where it exploded harmlessly after a heart-stopping moment. He wanted people to realise the miraculous power of God.

 10. Robert Langdon took the tape to the Sistine Chapel, where the College of Cardinals was set to elect the Camerlengo pope. The tape contained a recording of the Camerlengo admitting that he planned this deadly plot to make people believe in Church and God.

11. After getting caught, Camerlengo shamefully lit himself on fire. The Vatican asked Langdon and Vittoria to keep quiet about what happened that night. Cardinal Saverio Mortati was elected as the new pope which marked the end of the novel, Angels and Demons.

If you read the above summary of the Angels and Demons, we recommend trying reading the complete novel. It is one of the must-read books for those who love reading controversial and conspiracy theory fiction books.

I'm a pre-final year engineering student at MAIT Delhi. Apart from my CSE Major, I'm keen on other stuff as well. Writing blogs, poetry, graphic design, and snap lens creation are some of them. I had a lot of people who invested in me, and I excelled at most of my many and varied hobbies ;)
