ANJOLIE ELA MENON: ‘YATRA’ WAY TO ART


When we were in kindergarten, we all made one piece of art: a mountain, sun, and a house. We strongly believe that this is the best landscape.

You must be wondering why I am talking about art and craft. Anjolie Ela Menon ‘kaafi angreezi naam.’ She is India’s one of the leading contemporary artists.
Anjolie Ela Menon was born in Burnpur, Asansol on 17th July 1940.

She is married to her childhood love, Rear Admiral (Retd.) Raja Menon is an Indian navy officer, strategic analyst and writer.

She have done so many arts “yatra” is one of the most popular in them. In 2006, yatra was taken by the Asian Art Museum Of San Fransico, California.

Although it wasn’t possible to attend her solo show due to the pandemic, she has already sent her artwork to New York.
After knowing so much about Anjolie Ela Menon first thought I have in my head is “Behen tera kuch nahi ho sakta”. I mean kind of art I have made is a disaster I think some people are god gifted Anjolie Ela Menon is one of them.
