 1. Atul was interested in drama and acting from his school days when he used to be part of the Maharashtra State Drama Competition.

2. He finished his secondary education from Haribhai Deokaran High School, Maharashtra.

He completed his graduation in English literature from DAV College.

3. Along with this, he also completed his postgraduate diploma in dramatic arts from the National School of Drama.

4. Atul once played the role of Gandhi in the drama called Gandhi Viruddh Gandhi, which was later performed and became famous in the Theater Circle of Marathi Professionals.

5. He has won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for Hey Ram and Chandni Bar.

6. As a philanthropist, he is the President of the organization, QUEST, focused on enhancing the quality of education in India, and is actively involved in many environmental causes as well.

7. Atul entered Hollywood, with his first English Movie, Singularity or The Lovers, directed by Roland Joffe, and based on the Marathi novel, Drohaparva by Ajey Jhankar.
