Bollywood Romance A Scam
The games of thrones, breaking bad, and marvels do not bind me to a TV except Bollywood love stories like DDLJ, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum and Jab We Met do. There is no way you can blink your eyes when looking at Kajol and Shahrukh Khan*s love story, Preeti Zinta and Abhishek Bachan`s cute kind of romance on Bol Na Halke Halke, the list goes on and on.
Nonetheless, this sweetness comes with a bitter truth: none of these romantic Bollywood movies can live up to my expectations.
- Bollywood portrays a guy who can sing, dance, is a topper and is very hot. ‘The hero of your dreams’ can only be perfect (in Madhuri Dixit’s voice), so halwa hai, kya?

- You see someone and fall in love with them, and you are at their house the next moment. Rishte ki baat hogi ab.

- Thanks to Rockstar, we believed that to make music, we needed to feel pain. So that whole idea, going from home to college to love the prettiest girl, making it big, having an affair with her and then loving her until the day she dies is bhot unrealistic.

There have been Bollywood movies about pretty much every event in human history, from tragic love stories to uplifting action thrillers to fun college films. But these college movies mess with our heads; they give us unrealistic expectations.
