Garbage Trucks: Some Mind-Blowing Facts

Garbage trucks

Half of the billion people who live in India generate tonnes of garbage every day as prosperity expands, and Garbage Trucks have contributed a lot to clean up all this mess.

These trucks would cover half the distance between the earth and the moon if we lined up end to end. To put it another way, that’s the distance you’d travel between Mumbai and Los Angeles if you took 15 trips.

Trash truck, refuse truck, dustcart, rubbish truck, junk truck, bin lorry, or bin van are some similar words for this type of truck. Garbage collection vehicle and trash collection vehicle are two technical terms for the same thing (RCV).

Mumbai is India’s top electronic waste-producing city, followed by Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Surat. Fifty cities account for more than 60% of overall e-waste production, and ten states account for 70% of total e-waste production.

A dump truck like this is typically used by construction and demolition businesses that require roll-off containers on their job sites. The containers can be placed on the ground, filled over time, and then removed.

Rear Loader Garbage Trucks

Garbage trucks like these are most commonly seen in residential neighborhoods when garbage trucks collect rubbish from garbage cans along the sidewalk. Bags of waste are thrown into a big aperture in the vehicle’s back, where they are subsequently compacted.
