1. Under the 1882 Indian Trust Act, Heritage Transport Museum of India, a private museum was established to keep the documents and further exhibit, spread and educate the information around Indian Transportation.
2. After around 20 years of research and collection, finally the Heritage Transport Museum of India for the public. It became India’s First Comprehensive Transport Museum owned privately.

4. The earliest exhibit is from the Indus Valley Civilization. It is a toy in the shape of a wheel, depicting that the knowledge of transportation was with India at that time as well.
5. Built-in Taoru Region of Gurgaon, the Museum is built on a 3-acre plot, covering the area of more than 90,000 square feet, four-floors. The building is air-conditioned, consisting of galleries, library, reference centre, conference rooms, an auditorium, museum shop and also a restaurant.

9. Although the valuable heritage exhibits keep on expanding routinely, the museum possesses more than 120 vehicles in approximation.
