How Does Depression Look Like?

Avatar

An illness known as depression (major depressive disorder) impairs your mood, thinking process and behaviour. Fortunately, it is also treatable. The symptoms of depression include sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. Besides being emotionally and physically problematic, it can make it difficult to function at work or home.

Mild to severe depression symptoms may include:

  • Feeling sad or depressed
  • Having no interest in activities once enjoyed
  • Not being able to control appetites
  • Lack of sleep
  • Exhaustion
  • If you become unsteady, pacing, handwringing, or slowed in movements or speech, it must be severe enough that others can observe these characteristics.
  • You are thinking about suicide or death. But How Does Depression Look Like:
  • A depressive episode is when you don’t feel good for an hour in your day. This isn’t good. This isn’t pretty.
  • Having a glass of water drop on your foot is the definition of depression.
  • It’s not a desire to clean up the spill but rather to fall on the floor and cry.
  • Being able to refrain from brushing your hair for weeks on end gives you a feeling of safety.

  • The world is either so high with joy or so low that your mind doesn’t believe there will ever be colour again.
  • An attack of depression or panic can strike at work, while driving, at a birthday party, while shopping, even at a club. Some days are good, wonderful in fact, and you almost feel like you are better.
  • A look from someone or memory can turn you into a mess.
  • What makes you cry, people will ask? Why are you crying? All you can say is that it is nothing new.
  • It will happen that, upon arising, you will have black circles under your eyes caused by yesterday’s mascara. It’s there because you failed to remove your makeup the night before.
