How to Take Care Of Parrots?

Here’s all that you need to know about them if you are thinking about How To Take Care Of Parrots?

  1. First thing while looking for How to Take Care Of Parrots is the type of cage you’ll be picking to keep your Pet Parrot in. It must be spacious enough to let it spread its wings. You can choose a padlock for the door. Along with this, to make them feel comfortable, safe and cosy, you must put a paper, bag, towel or anything similar, under which they can hide.

2. Parrots are birds with tender wings and structure. Try to keep the cage away from too much light, near high temperatures, fumes or windows. At the same time, they need ventilation as they are social birds. So, you really need to take care of the spot you are choosing for your parrot’s cage.

3. Always try to pick a cage with a grate over the bedding. It is the best way to keep your parrot away from the harmful bacteria of their litter. Remember to clean the cage every 2 or 3 days.

4. Next thing is food. Parrots love to consume fresh fruits and vegetables. As they have sensitive digestive tracts, you should give them nuts & treats only like a prize for their good behaviour. To make them exercise, place their food-bowl at some distance from the perch. Food like, onion, chocolates, avocado, garlic, fruit pits, seeds of an apple, high-fat foods, high-sodium foods, high-sugar foods or sugar-free candies can be harmful to parrots.

5. At times, you might have to go out, leaving your bird behind. Like humans, they will often wish to eat. They also love to play and chew toys. Buy them toys like pinecone, tree-branches or even corn on the cob.

6. One of the best things about parrots as pets is that they do not require much grooming. All you need to take care of is their nails and wings. You can consult your veterinarian before trimming the wings. If you want them to fly freely, you need to take care of them in case they desire to escape.

7. Parrots love to stay clean. They are going to thank you if you make them bathe often! They love to splash water around, so the best option is to make them bath under the faucet if you want them to enjoy it. If you don’t want to, you can make them bathe with a spray bottle.

Although guinea pigs are adorable and easy to handle, before petting them, you must know that guinea pigs only live for 6 to 8 years.
