The Shivalik Ranges surround the district. Located in the Lower West Central Outer Himalayas, Hamirpur is 790 M above sea level. From Dhauladhar Ranges, the city is viewed. The intersection also serves as a major junction for National Highway 3 and National Highway 103. Hamirpur is known for its high literacy rate, educational institutions, and Hamir Utsav festival.
