Known for his stupefying work in Hindi Cinema, British Films and even Hollywood, Irrfan Khan has remained one of the greatest actors of Indian Cinema. Know all about the man whose life became synonymous with persistence, Irrfan Yaseen Khan.
1. In 1988, Irrfan’s career began with an Academy Award-Nominated Movie, Salaam Bombay. He was critically praised by the audience for his negative role in drama films. He even won the Filmfare Award for Best Villian.
2. In 2007, the turning point came in Irrfan’s career. He won the Filmfare Best-Supporting Actor award for his movie Life in a Metro.
3. He moved on to win the National Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for Pan Singh Tomar.
4. In 2011 he was awarded for Padma Shri after that he became the fourth highest person for this honour in the art field. In 2013, BAFTA-nominated movie The Lunchbox earned tremendous respect from the audience and film critics for his realness and effortless acting.

6. The comedy genre movie Hindi Medium was the highest-grossing film of Indian films of all time. It was a big hit in India and China. It won the Filmfare award for Best Lead Actor.
7. Worldwide, Irrfan Khan has worked in Hollywood and British films. These include The Warrior, The Namesake, New York, I Love You, The Amazing Spiderman, Life of Pie, Jurassic World, Inferno and even the Academy Award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

After being admitted for colon infection, on 28 April 2020, the exceptional golden actor of Indian Cinema left the stage empty. His last movie was Angrezi Medium in which he played Champak Bansal. The film was the spin-off of the comedy, Hindi Medium.
