1. Meenakshi Seshadri was born on 16 November 1963 as Shashikala Seshadri, to a Tamil Family.

2. Seshadri made her film debut with Painter Babu (1983), a Hindi/Telugu bilingual movie.

3. But, before getting into Bollywood, Meenakshi Seshadri also has been the winner of Eve’s Weekly Miss India contest in 1981 when she was just 17. She also represented India at the Miss International 1981.
But Painter Babu flopped.

4. After the flop at the beginning of her Career, Seshadri wanted to quit acting but was inspired to continue by Subhash Ghai.

5. Later on, Ghai cast her as his leading lady in Hero that went on to become a blockbuster and Seshadri became an overnight star.
