Since their inception, mobile phones have become an inseparable part of our lifestyle. In fact, it is becoming an old saying now that people think they have become handicapped when they do not have a phone in their hands.

Life has drastically changed when you have a wireless phone. As we are already aware of the importance of this yantra, here is a crucial timeline of Mobile Phone for you to better understand your “smart hand”.
- 1926-1969
- Mobile service came into existence for the first time in 1926.
- In 1946, the first calls were made for radiotelephone service in Chicago.
- The dialling phone device was installed in a car that weighs 40kg.
- In 1969, the Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) Group purposefully developed a mobile phone system.

- 1973: Martin Ka Idea
- Accessibility was the motive behind cellular phones.
- The man behind the brick-sized phone was the general manager of Motorola Communication, Martin Cooper.
- The first cell phone cost $ 3,900 plus 50 cents a minute to talk.
