Nutella Lasagna Is A Thing!

Ever heard about “Nutella Lasagna.” Why does it sound like shit to me? Since I heard about Nutella lasagna I cannot stop thinking about it.
Origin of Nutella: Nutella was introduced in 1964 by the Italian company Ferrero.
Origin of Lasagna: This Italian favourite originates from the Italian city of maples.

  • Hazelnuts are a speciality of Alba, a town in northern Italy known for its bakery.

  • He sold the first 300 kilograms (660 lb) batch of Pasta Gianduja in 1946. Originally sold as a solid block, Ferrero started selling a creamy version in 1951 as Supercrema gianduja.

  • Michele Ferrero, son of Ferrero Ferrero, redesigned Supercrema gianduja in 1963 to market to Europeans. A modification to its composition led to its renaming as Nutella. 
  • As of April 20, 1964, Nutella was the first product to leave the factory in Alba. It became a huge success and has remained so since then.

  • The French senator Yves Daudigny proposed an increment in palm oil taxes from €100 to €400 per tonne in 2012.

  • Since Nutella contains palm oil as its main ingredient, the tax was named the Nutella tax.
  • Approximately half of Nutella’s ingredients are sugar and palm oil. Nutella also contains hazelnuts, cocoa solids, and skimmed milk.
  • It is often called hazelnut cream in other countries instead of Nutella. According to Italian law, it cannot be referred to as chocolate cream as it does not meet minimum cocoa solids concentrations. Ferrero uses 25 per cent of the world’s hazelnut supply, but not exclusively for Nutella.
  • Nutella is manufactured in several locations. It is produced at a plant in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and more recently in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato, Mexico.
  • A chocolate and hazelnut spread, Nutella is primarily made from sugar and palm oil. This food item is produced very similarly to a generic chocolate spread.
