Organic Food For Rabbits Includes More Than Just Carrots

It is a misconception that carrots are a staple food for rabbits. Instead, it is like a side item in their diet. This is because most people have due to the representation of rabbits in cartoons and animated movies.

Consider the list of organic food for rabbits that is organic and might come in handy, especially if you are not a professional at handling Rabbits.

  1. Vegetables & Herbs that must be fed daily include bell peppers, cucumber, zucchini, wheatgrass. As it’s their fav, it must be given a limit (two cups of fresh vegetables).

2. Hay or Long-stemmed Fibre Foods Foods are a primary source of nourishment.

3. Fruits can constitute a small portion of the weekly diet. Apples without seeds, bananas, berries, and grapes can be fed in small quantities.

4. Pellets should be fed to rabbits in monitored quantities. They are high in fibre.

5. Freshwater must be in abundance, as they need to stay hydrated. A ceramic container for water would be favourable.

6. Sweet Treat (like pieces of frozen dry fruits and pineapple) would be an enjoyable treat for your bunny. Feed it once in a while but sparingly.

7. Carrots should be fed occasionally, as they have a high content of sugar. It is not a prime source of nutrition for rabbits.

Remember that feeding bowlfuls of commercial food can cause rabbits to gain weight, which is highly unhealthy. It can prevent them from eating nutritious food. One must consider organic food for rabbits instead of only feeding them packaged products.

Carefully monitoring and planning your Rabbit’s diet is very important for its growth and healthy life span.
