1. Born on September 7th, 1985, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, and brought up in Pune, Radhika Apte is an Indian theatre and film actress who works in several regional language films.

2. Radhika belongs to a Family of Doctors. Her father, Charudutt Apte, is a neurosurgeon and the chairman of Sahyadri Hospital, Pune. Her mother is also a doctor.

Radhika is high on intellect, man! She has graduated from Fergusson College, Pune in Economics and Maths.

3. Radhika Apte made her debut with a brief role in the 2005 movie Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! She later appeared in Bengali film Antaheen (2009).

BTW, Radhika got Antaheen because of the actor, Rahul Bose.

4. Rahul saw Radhika in Bombay Black, a theatre play, and suggested her name to Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, who cast Radhika in Antaheen.

5. Radhika moved to Mumbai to turn her passion into a career. Radhika used to manage to live in Goregaon with some odd owners and roommates in the salary of just Rs. 8000 to 10000.

6. After having a decent time in Mumbai, Radhika took a break and went to London to study Contemporary Dance at London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for a year.

7. In London, she fell in love with Benedict Taylor and married him in 2012, Benedict shifted to Pune with her.

The couple, according to recent news, was in a long-distance marriage.

8. Radhika returned from London and was offered a role in a big production Hindi film but was kicked out of it because makers thought she was too fat to be in that film.

9. At the start of the decade, Radhika appeared in her first Hindi film Shor in the city, followed by Rakta Charitra, Rakta Charitra 2, and I am.

There were also rumours that Radhika is dating Tusshar, but Radhika disproved.

10. Radhika also worked with the Bhave-Sukthankar duo on Tukaram, Dhoni, and Ha Bharat Majha, which earned her a nomination for SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

11. Later on, Radhika was seen in various Regional Language Flicks such as Rupkatha Noy, Postcard, Pendulum, Legend, Lai Bhaari, and Vetri Selvan.

12. In 2015, Radhika showcased her excellent acting skills in Bollywood Movies such as Badlapur, Hunterrr, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein, and Manjhi – The Mountain Man.

13. Later on, she got a chance to work with RAJINIKANTH in Kabali (2016) and recently co-starred with Akshay Kumar in Pad Man (2018).

Radhika’s notable works also include Andhadhun. The film won the National Award.
