1. What is Contextual modernism? Contextual Modernism happened in 1997. It was an exhibition which was held in the 50th year of Independence day.

2. This Exhibition was managed and planned by R Siva Kumar at the National Gallery of modern art. Contextual Modernism was focused on the Santiniketan artists Nandalal Bose, Maniklal Banerjee, Rabindranath Tagore. Kumar observed that all of the artists follow tradition and culture in their artwork.Â
