TRETA YUGA

This represents the second age in the cycle of Maha Yuga.

The period of a Treta Yuga is 1,296,000 years.

By the arrival of Treta Yuga, the presence of goodness in human nature had slowly started to decrease.

Tamas and Rajas guna increase in people. Tamas represents the darkness in human nature. Rajas form all the passions a human could ask.

Now people had to encourage a bad level of mind, but they had also lost a good deal of control over their body and physiology.

People’s tallness was now smaller than during the Satya Yuga, with the average human being around 14 cubits tall.

But in Treta Yuga many divine personalities were born like RAMA, LAXMAN, HANUMAN, RAVANA and many others like them.

HANUMAN who were considered godlike for their extraordinary strength and unique intelligence.
