Hey, Cinephiles! Today we are going to talk about Jugal Hansraj, one of the forgotten personalities of Bollywood.
1. Born in 1972 and started his career in 1983 as a child artist from Shekhar Kapoor’s Masoom. He played along with Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah.

2. Before Masoom, Jugal appeared in some T.V Commercials, which caught the eye of Shekhar Kapoor, and he met with Jugals’s father for Masoom.
After Masoom, Jugal did some more movies as a child artist such as Karma, Sultanat, Loha, and Hukumat and took a break.

3. In 1994, Jugal made a comeback with Aa Gale Lag Jaa and reunited with his sister in Masoom, Urmila Matondkar. But the film didn’t perform well at the Box Office.

4. Later on, Jugal appeared in Papa Kehte Hain (1995), Gudgudee (1997), but earned laurels with Mohabbatein (2000) and also did a guest appearance in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
Jugal describes Mohabbatein as the biggest film of his career.

5. Surprisingly, Jugal Hansraj was the one behind the melody of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). He composed the title song of the film, which later became the theme of Dharma Productions.
Karan Johan also confirmed this in his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy.

6. Jugal has also done theatre with Satyadev Dubey and a notable acting teacher, Barry John.

7. Jugal, in his struggling days, once signed Twenty One films, but unfortunately, only Eight of them got released.
He has been seen in several Blink and Miss roles.

8. Jugal, in 2008, turned director and directed a 3D Computer Animated film, Roadside Romeo, jointly produced by Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney Studios.
In one of his interviews, he stated that he still gets goosebumps after seeing his name beneath the banner of Walt Disney and YRF.

9. Roadside Romeo took 3 years to get ready and earned the National Film Award for Best Animated Film.
In 2010, Jugal presented his second directorial project, Pyaar Impossible.

11. In 2014, Jugal married Jasmine Dhillon, an NRI investment banker from New York, after dating for a long time.
